  • BSOD with message win32k.sys

    Hi Guys,

    I got this error which I believe the culprit that causes my system to reboot itself. Got the BSOD and the message below:-

    A problem has been detected and windows will shutdown.

    The problem seem to be caused by the following file: win32k.sys

    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

    If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps.

    Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need.

    If problem continue, idable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Option, and then select Safe Mode.

        what did u do before this message came up, ie install new drivers, change bios settings, install new software etc.

          i didn't do anything... was surfing around and suddenly BSOD............ now I don't seem to get the BSOD anymore... but everytime I start XP and log in.. they will appear a window saying that "The system had recoverd from a serious error" and ask me if i want to send to microsoft......

          I've try repairing the OS using Win XP cd, start OK, no error message.... restart again.... the error message come out again.................
