Recently I turned to full time dial-up. Till now I was on LAN and our server used to cache various websites for faster access (don't ask me how). Now I actually miss that feature.
I have been searching for any app that could do something like this for me. There are hundreds of them out there, that claim of giving me a 300-500% increase in browsing speed. I tried one of them "webroot accelerate" and it actually reduced my speed to half : omg:
I had to do a system restore and here I am asking for help. What I specifically want is a software that can cache images/server addresses or stuff like that and feed the session whenever required. For Example: If I come to TT, it should be able to produce the images that are always the same, without downloading them again. I have tried the cache feature of browsers (currently use IE, Opera and Firebird) but that doesn't help much.
Is it possible or am I just wasting my time.
Thanx for reading
