Re: Ivy Bridge Build - Feedback please

I haven't tried to clear CMOS, just updated bios. Tried several fans onto the headers but none of them worked. I called the store today and they said they would exchange the motherboard. When the CPU fan header died the cooler stopped working and bios showed a warning "CPU overheating" and then it turned off the PC and i think i saw a bit of smoke but im not sure. Anyway the CPU works now and i haven't noticed any dmg on it. I will maybe RMA the Antec 920 too.

Re: Ivy Bridge Build - Feedback please

I managed to fix the Antec clicking noise by putting a manget again but i still hear a bit of noise, a high frequency sound but im not sure if its from the fans or the cooler.

Now there is a new problem:

So i will just go to the store on wednesday and ask them to replace my antec and psu, and i will rma the board. Not fun at all.

Very odd how i did not hear / notice the PSU fan noise before. Maybe because the Antec noise was louder.

Re: Ivy Bridge Build - Feedback please

Now i noticed another issue. The speakers are making a very annoying noise. I tried them in my old PC and they are fine. So seems to be related with the issues i have with the MOBO, PSU, and ANTEC cooler. Going to RMA all 3 of them and hopefully everything will be good when i receive the new parts.

Re: Ivy Bridge Build - Feedback please

This really sucks. I RMA'd everything yesterday. PSU and Cooler will be checked within 10 days and i will know if i will get replacement or they think its not faulty, and in that case i will have to contact Corsair / Antec directly and RMA that way. When i was preparing this one for RMA, i bent several CPU pins when taking out the CPU. And they replied today that they will not exchange due to bent pins :(. So i will have to buy a new mobo and be carefoul next time. I hope there will be no more issues when i mount everything again.

Update: Bought Intel DZ77GA-70K and a ASUS GTX 560Ti 448. The store checked my PSU and Cooler and reported that it is faulty so they sent me new ones. Haven't picked up from postal office yet because i wait for GFX to arrive before picking everything up.
