I currently have the following and am looking for my next investment:

-P4 3.0
-Radeon 9700 Pro
-ASUS P4P800 motherboard
-1 gig 2700 DDR
-Thermaltake Lanfire casing
-Audigy sound

Any thoughts?

Looks good, only 1 thought:

If that's the 3.0c 800 chip, run it with 2 sticks of 3200, not 2700. And make sure its 2, to run dual channel.

Low latency is king.

And the 9800 Pro is now the sweet spot, you don't need to pay crazy amounts for an XT when the Pro will do the same thing for you. But yeah the 9700 Pro is still a good buy and is $200 now, or even less.

Has a 9800 Pro for $230

And a 9700 Pro for $2009700 Pro for $200

Though for a warranty on the 9800 you have to pay extra ~ about $14. So you end up spending $244

As a side question: does anyone remember off the top of their head what the performance difference is? I thought it was like 10%-15%.
