Xabre2 to have Vertex and Pixel Shaders, nVidia Beware

Just heard a Rumor that the next generation of SiS Xabre cards is to include a Vertex and Pixel Shader engine, this should increase the performance of the card quite a bit.

This is only a Rumor, not sure if its going ahead or not.

Well, SiS has been coming up with some pretty cool mobo chipsets--at least for the P4 anyhoo--as of late.

Yeah SiS Xabre is ok IMHO. Its not going to replace any GF4 TI cards but its definatly a good contender to take the value market, providing that its cheap enough, Lets hope they don't try and go teh same way ATI did in the first place. Cost it at a GF3 level and perform it like a GF2

All I can say is that SiS is looking the goods for the value market and I will be waiting for a Xabre 600 to test before I go out and buy one for my 2nd system

That wont be for another year and a half. When the new nVidia cards come out the 'Value' cards will be the GF3's. The G4 MX's and GF2's will be discontinued and unsupported. Of course this is also rumour.
