msqrt in regards to your post sorry for the misleading info but the 1Million calculations are seconds where the 32million is in minutes, so the 1 Million took seconds where the 32million took minutes to complete

Remember also, AMD puts the memory controller on the CPU
have you tried this CPU in a different board? different AM2 board? try that, see if it works in Dual Channel mode, if it doesn't at 800Mhz its the CPU, because the memory controller...

I would look at a max of around 65c. I am doing tests on the TweakTown Prescott at the moment, i am pushing 3.8Ghz out at 55C under load at 1.55v. This isn't a bad situation.
Just remember Prescott will run quite hotter due to its new SSE3 additions as well as the new cache and core...

3.5Ghz P4 and high memory bandwidth
So far i have gotten the following out of my P4 setup here at TweakTown.com
The specs are 2x 512MB OCZ 4200 DDR SDRAM running 270Mhz (DDR-540), Pentium 4 EE 3.2Ghz ES with the multiplier lowered for high fsb, 2.9v on the DRAM and 1.7v on the CPU Vcore. DFI 875 Infinity motherboard....
