I just popped mine to 3.0, though its got a crappy 1.8b cooler on it, and its running about 55C, but it runs that at stock too, so I dont care. I only upped Vcore by 0.25 (1.55V)

What Vcore setting did you use?

*I found mine tops out at 260 on 1.6v, cant go any higher on the vcore for the time being, cooling sucks

In my case anyway, mine beat my 1700+, 200fsb/8RDA+ by a good bit

If you are going off of what software or the BIOS tells you, its very wrong.

I thought my max load at 3Ghz was 39c too on my board. But, after I installed a probe on the back of the CPU, I found it was actually 50c. The idle in software would say 26c but it was actually 35c.

Don't trust software temperatures. And mine aren't even the core temp, is the back of the CPU. Add another 5-10c onto that.

Most people don't realize it but their CPU runs much hotter than they are led to believe.

My mobo is known to add as much as 20C to the CPU temps, not lower them
