    Re: amd vs intel

It really depends on the amount of money you want to spend on your CPU.

    But generally:
    Intel: better performance
    AMD: better price/performance ratio

AMD is the lovable underdog that craps in the potted plants, Intel is the Evil Empire that controls every aspect of your being but ends up getting you laid: your pick.

I agree with your chart completely, but I have one thing to point out. The FX series is a new line of CPUs. You can't fairly put the current gen of their processors on trial for overall performance of said line. Remember when the Phenom series came out? It was absolutely terrible, unstable, and had a number of issues, but then the Phenom II line came out which fixed that and they were amazing CPUs. I say stick with Intel for now until AMD can get the kinks worked out of the FX series, and if you can afford it, give them a try then. Obviously the first CPUs in a new line are going to have their problems, but you have to give them time to realize their potential and they just may surprise you with what they're capable of.

This is just my opinion on the matter, so don't over analyze it too much:
If you want to push a lot of power and have the money to drop go with Intel for now. If you're looking for more of a budget build that still has the potential for pushing some power, go with AMD.
