Re: Updating BIOS on P8Z68-V Pro from 11.01 to latest
I would also like to know where you heard this. The BIOS chip doesn't "remember" what versions were previously installed. When you flash the BIOS you wipe all previous info from the chip - that's why it's potentially risky...

Re: Asus Rampage Gene III AI SUITE
I have the latest version of this software (Asus AI Suite II v. 2.00.01) on my P8Z77-V, and believe me, it still has problems. It's a little better than it was; on my cousin's P8Z68-V LX build in February 2012 it kept crashing for no apparent reason....

Re: Asus P5G41T-M Motherboard problem
Power supplies can cause some weird problems when they're going bad. I've seen a couple of them that would boot one system fine but not work at all in another good system. If voltages are borderline or fluctuating it's hard to diagnose, sometimes...

Re: amd vs intel
The only decent onboard or on-CPU graphics so far are Intel's latest (HD 2000, HD 3000, HD 2500, HD 4000) and of those, only HD 4000 (i5 3570K, i7 3770K) is capable of actually playing any modern games. AMD's Trinity APU could be a step in the right direction...

Re: CPU Gone Bad???
I just recently had the same problem with a Z68 build bluescreening constantly. It turned out to be one of the Vengeance 1600 DIMMs (using 2 x 4GB). I determined this by removing one of the modules and booting with just one (I got lucky the first try...Last edited by hood6558; 07-04-2012, 07:07 PM.

Re: motherboard has little bend at the end - should I RMA?
You see that complaint a lot in NewEgg and TigerDirect reviews these days, and not just Asus. There never seems to be any kind of problem related to the warpage, so I wouldn't worry. I like the idea of Gigabyte's "Durable...
