No, RAID is disabled in the BIOS under one of the tabs (off hand i dont know) and i try to get ppl familiar with using the BIOS to adjust most everything they can w/o cracking the case.
You really should just go into the BIOS and look at everything to make yourself familiar with it. You'll find the RAID setting. For the most part it doesnt need to be turned off unless your using PCI slot 5 or you want the 3secs faster boot time that the RAID takes (see the press ctrl H page that loads up as part of the RAID BIOS, that takes up some boot time)
What it think might have been the prob is the VIA 4in1's YOU ALWAYS WANT TO MAKE SURE YOU GOT THEM 4in1's. I know its an AMD chipset and it doesnt use all of the drivers in the 4in1's, but install them anyway. They should be on your ABIT cd, so that is clue No.1 that the board wants 'em.
