Tweaker, this is probably heresy in these forums (forgive me all), but e-mail microsoft tech support. They are insanely helpful when it comes to problems with Windows. I remember I had a problem (forget what) with XP Home and could not figure it out. I e-mailed them in the morning and had a solution at night.

Of course you could always reformat and re-install windows, but thats a pain.

Have you checked Microsoft's Knowledge base? It has alot of answers to questions in there.

Thx people, but this problem is long gone as I did a reformat 4 months ago and then followed both tweak guides so it's running great now.
