Hey guys im new to the forum and have a pretty general question, so if anyone could help me out I'd appreciate it
I have just recently assembled a rig with the following specs
9850 BR processor running at stock
4 gigs Corsair DDR2 ram 800 mhz
2 visiontek 4870's running in corssifre (I hope)
500 gig western digital sata HD
MSI K9 motherboard (crossfire)
situation : just installed the 2nd 4870 and connected the crossfire interlinks, Both 4870's are recognized in device manager but when I go to catalyst and try the GPU check a big number one flashes on my screen (I assume this means 1 GPU detected). I ran 3dmark06 and wound up getting a score of 14300 does this seem correct? I really hate to think that 2the setup I have performs so abysmally. I am hoping that the other card isnt recognized in Xfire. Is there anythjing I can do to circumvent this issue?
Thanks
