Dual monitor not to minimize game

I have a dual monitor setup and I was wondering how i can stay in game and mess around the other screen (i.e IM, Winamp, etc) without having my game minimizing?

You can't that I know of and if you figure it out by all means let me know because I too run a dual display setup.

I doubt this can be done with winxp, vista should be able to handle it thou

It's an option actually of your game, and not all games will support it.

Run in windowed mode then set the resolution of the game to match that of your primary monitor.

FPS's will require that you then alt-tab out (they don't have a cursor and mouse is generally used to look) where as MMO's and RTS's you just move the cursor to the right or left edge(depending) and your mouse will pop right over.

I do this for WoW all the time.
