[heeeeeeeeeelp] Power Saving Mode Before Windows Xp Boots!!! [help!]

Ok, so I turn on the PC [Windows XP] but before it has a chance to actually get to the logon screen, it says, "PC is going into POWER SAVING MODE," what the heck is that?! I read a few other topics on this, heating issues, possible Graphic Card has given up the ghost... Any other ideas guys [and ladies?] Thanks so much for the promt reply!

have you tried pressing f8 just before windows loads and going into safe mode - you then should be able to disable power saving.

Have you tried a different video card? or tried logging into safe mode

go into the bios and disable power saving - that might help
