Hi. I was just wondering my fps seems to be capped at 60. How can I make it go over 60? btw, vsync is forced off.

Because they are doing a "timedemo" benchmarking of the game. The limit has been removed for benchmarking purposes but is always in place during normal gaming. As far as I know, this feature cannot be bypassed.Old age and treachery will overcome youth and skill

if you create an autoexec.cfg file in the base dir for doom 3, you can set certain options by putting them in this file. One of these options is com_fixedTic 1 will remove the cap during the game. But with this cap removed, you are likely to see more screen tearing and so forth. If you can run the game consistently between 30 to 60 fps the game will be very playable. As Darthtanion said, you can run the timedemo to see your avg fps, but that can be deceiving since many cards will often drop below 30 fps making the experience choppy and slow.
