Celebrity Spotting at local 7/11 - Edition #1, Cathy Freeman

It was so surreal... I was buying my usual stuff, lined up then decided to get something else (she must have saw) and then she got to the counter before me and says "no, you go" and I was just thinking it was any old person (didnt look at face) and then I thought that voice was familiar, anyway when I turned around I looked and said "Hmm, I thought you were familiar" and she smiled and I walked out.

Yep, I just happened to run into Cathy Freeman at our local 7/11. For those who don't know (but I reckon most would) she is an Olympic runner and lit the torch thingo at the Sydney 2002 Olympics...

Stay tuned next week as I find out who I can met at our 7/11!

It all happened pretty quick, I've met quite a few other celebrities before now but I guess it was a bit of a shock just to see Cathy Freeman standing behind you, especially regarding all the press lately.

Cool encounter - just minding your own business in the presence of stardom, I bet she appreciated your coolness. :thumb:

And a good thing you didn't try to cut in line on her, she might have thrashed you properly:laugh:
