Australian vacation - need advice

hey i know alot of you guys are from australia and i was wondering if you could give me any advice.
me and my fiance want to go on a vacation there and i'm doing most of the planning. what are some good places along the beach with good swimming , diving , snorkling , etc ... i've never been there but i'm really looking forward to it , any help and suggestions would be appreciated :)

You can do that type of thing along most parts of the East Coast but by far the best place would be Queensland and Far North Queensland - I've done the samething up there before and loved it. Ask your travel agent about the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Townsville (Magnetic Island). I did scuba at Black Island if that helps, oh yes do a search for the Yellow Submarine.

There's a heap of great islands up the end of Aus. Take your pick really..

The Great Barrier Reef which runs along the coast of Queensland is studded with many islands of which a lot have resorts on them. ;)

If you have the money, check out the Whitsundays...now that is an awsome place :D

Yep, I definately recommend Queesland. We usually holiday there every year. I'm holidaying there in 5 more weeks.
You couldn't make a better choice.:thumb:
Sunshine Coast is the way to go.

Perth is nice (Western Australia)

Kakadu is amazing (NT)
but its a tad remote and very large

Adelaide is boring (sad but true)

Queensland is ok

But since you are into scuba diving I'd suggest Queensland since there is the great barrier reef - the only living thing you can see from space
