Naturally people panic when their new build misbehaves but there's no chance anyone on a forum or at Gigabyte can help unless the quality of the reports they make are a lot better - just saying youve seen other people on the internet with glitches proves nothing

But the BT module, USB and...

Although it's true that other motherboards have problems with the same Realtek 2.5Gb chip, the Intel Wifi/BT module, and AMD USB, the frequency appears higher for Gigabyte and the B550i in particular.

The USB issues may be in the Ryzen SOC and B550 chipset and so AGESA changes may help...

Although this is a Beta BIOS thread not everything that happens relates to BIOS - this is the Windows era not the DOS era and Windows and its drivers takes over the PC after the BIOS has initialised everything. If you're using QVL RAM thats not overclocked and arent wanting to change how the CPU is...

Windows installed 10.39.212.2020 for me (2020) - perhaps this is "Realtek Gaming 2.5Gb Family Controller" and the 2015 driver is "Realtek PCIe 2.5Gb Family Controller" - but in any case it is also satisfactory.

The insoluble problem is the Bluetooth module disappearing...

The Ethernet and Bluetooth issues seem to be the two most commonly reported issues for AORUS B550. They are random so its difficult to say something fixes it unless the problem stays away for a couple of weeks

Ive had the Bluetooth disappear twice in a week on my B550i and cant continue...

  • If Windows loads then the drive is detected in BIOS When I had a freeze and BSOD after Windows load with a Samsung nVME it was a faulty SSD. They wouldnt replace as they said no fault found but I swapped it for a WD and no probs since

With Samsung you have the choice of their nVVME driver...

In theory the wireless receiver shouldnt need a lot of power compared with a external drive but it is quite fussy - if there's any glitch the controller disconnects but a wireless mouse lags and carries on OK after.

I did some investigating on the B550i and found

    - the two...

started a topic B550i Pro AX USB

    B550i Pro AX USB

    It seems that
    - the two case front header USB 3.0 (3.1 Gen1) are B550 chipset connected
    - the red and type C Gen 2 ports are B550 chipset connected
    - the remaining four 3.1 Gen1 rear ports are CPU connected

Problems happen if all of one "group" above is used...

    After 2 weeks with B550i AX, 5800x, BIOS F12

Ive now had the Bluetooth device disappear requiring an unplug. Intel drivers 22.20 may help but dont solve this long reported problem.
Ive not seen the Realtek 2.5Gb issues so far, using default Windows 10 drivers 10.39.212.2020

I'm running a NF-A14 as CPU fan and noticed it stopping for a few seconds only as Windows loads but since I put the case side back on obviously I dont see it now - and I think many people dont realise this is happening to them too.

Ive seen the suggestion to use voltage control but Ive...

All these USB issues may not only be Gigabyte but only Gigabyte BIOS updates can help us

The ITE device is a chip that handles many functions and normally is accessed directly from the CPU (see block diagram in the manual).
To be seen by RGB Fusion software it is likely also connected...

It may also be possible we are seeing two different things.

My disconnects were the actual receiver which needed to be unplugged from USB to be able to reconnect the controller. This is what I improved by moving the receiver to the rear red USB 3.2 and unticking power management

I had both the mouse USB and the xbox wireless receiver on case front panel which goes to the USB 3.1 header on the m/b and got frequent disconnects of the receiver. I moved the wireless receiver to the red 3.2 port at the back and didnt get the frequent disconnects.

    I havent changed any...

This is a good question. I've only had it switched on and running windows for a day now but noticed these right away - and the USB issues since - and in any case they are mentioned in Reddit posts and customer reviews going back months,

The board works well for perf and thermals - so did...

I tried the xbox wireless receiver USB today as it was better than bluetooth on my previous PC but got disconnects straight away in game needing the dongle to be unplugged. I had it on case front USB along with a mouse receiver as thats better for the signal but Ive moved it to the red rear USB and...

The problems I've found with B550i AX, 5800x, F12 are

On a restart the CPU FAN (PWM Noctua) stops while Windows is loading and then restarts after Windows starts.
I think this is a Gigabyte specific problem but as a CPU fan stopping could be serious its really bad that it's still...
