  • Which SLI/Crossfire is the better value?

Hi all, first post on here and am hoping I can get some help on this one :)

I'm gonna be building a new system before too long, and simply can't decide whether or not I wanna Crossfire this or SLI this.

So I guess my question is, is the GTX560 worth the hike in cash? I pretty much wanna be able to run the newer games (Deux Ex, BF3 etc.) maybe with some games in the future at max settings without dropping below 60 FPS on 1920x1200. Will the 6790s do that? My guess is no, but thought i'd ask anyways :P

    Thanks in advance.

Whoops, just noticed there is a "what should I buy" forum, my bad if this is in the wrong place.

No problem posting your question in the video card forum.
      You're comparing a 2 x $150 Radeon setup with a 2 x $270 Nvidia setup.
Much as I like my N460GTX SLI setup, I think that the Radeon 6950 or 6970 CrossfireX setup might be the best buy. If you might be using a high resolution multi-monitor setup in the future, the 2GB Radeon cards would probably be best.
You might also want to check out the Radeon 7000 series cards.

Quite a few forum members highly recommend the Sapphire brand Radeon video cards.

i would go for the 6850,not much more than the 6790 in price and they use less power,or wait a few months longer for the 7 series cards, prices of 5 and 6 series will drop more
