Re: Radeon 5770 to diamond K9N motherboard
Have you tried the following:- With your old card installed, uninstall your current video drivers.
- Reboot into safe mode, and use Driver Sweeper to to clean up any "residue" of the old graphics drivers.
- Shutdown your computer, and power off your psu using the on/off switch on the psu.
- Replace your old video card with your new 5770 card.
- Boot into windows and install the latest video card drivers for your 5770.

Re: Radeon 5770 to diamond K9N motherboard
Driver Sweeper might not be needed after you uninstall your old graphics drivers, but it's recommended to help prevent problems.
Are you running the most recent bios version for your motherboard?
On the AMD forum, I saw similar problems with other systems where a bios update fixed the blank screen problem for some systems.
You might need to contact MSI support to see if the 5770 needs a more recent bios version or possibly a custom bios version.
What brand/model is your power supply? How many watts?Q9650 @ 4.10GHz [9x456MHz]
