Delivering high-end graphics to the mainstream for the first time

Sydney Australia - July 23, 2002 - ATI Technologies Inc. (TSX:ATY,
NASDAQ:ATYT) and its add-on-board partners are shipping the revolutionary
RADEON 9000 and RADEON 9000 PRO visual processors to the mainstream market,
effective immediately. The RADEON 9000 products feature technology
innovations first introduced in the high-end segment of the market,
combined with the best performance of any mainstream graphics product
available.
Both the RADEON 9000 and RADEON 9000 PRO feature industry-leading
technologies, including quad-pipe architecture, with four parallel
rendering pipelines; programmable pixel and vertex shaders, powered by
SMARTSHADER, allowing mainstream users to benefit fully from Microsoft
DirectX 8.1 for the first time; flexible multiple display architecture
supported by HYDRAVISION, allowing effective use of multiple displays; and
industry-leading video playback, featuring FULLSTREAM technology for
accelerated and improved video streaming.

add-in-board manufacturers are also now shipping product based on RADEON
9000, at very affordable prices.
