How to identify Graphics Card?

I recently bought the below graphics card off craigslist and am using it in my system right now. The seller was more or less a kid but he sold it to me saying that it was a gtx 280. Since it looked the part and runs my system fine, I'm not worried.. the funny part though is that it shows up as a Quadro FX 5800 under GPU-z and also gets a 'PO', zero-mark score in 3dmark vantage.

Can anyone familiar with either the tesla or quadro line of products here enlighten me on this? Am I just dreaming?

I am thinking that it is just a glitch with the driver I am using from the laptopvideo2go.com site.. but I'm actually really curious to know..

EDIT: I'm now thinking that the card is actually the tesla c1060, but still not completely sure.

Hmm I came to suggest to use GPU-z, but looks like you have.

What you could do to rule out the driver is get into some Boot CD or Microscope and see what you can find it listed as from there with no driver loaded

I think I can rule out the card being a c1060 because apparently that card does not have video output (this card has 2 x dvi, 1 x hdmi, 1x s-video). I think I can also rule out the gtx 260, because that card has 2x6-pin power sockets as opposed to my card's 6 and 8-pin sockets.

The casing looks like this NVIDIA Tesla C1060 they sell on Tiger Direct to name one place.

The av output connectors look like they are from the quadro fx 5800 though.

Note the similarity between my card's connectors and the PNY's:

And also how both are different from the gtx 280's:

The gtx 280s lack the hdmi and have different placement of the outlets.

I tried playing the original Crysis at a resolution of 1680x1050 with max settings, no AA, and got roughly 20fps according to the in-game console frame counter.

Is this on par with a gtx 280?

NFI. But I'm curious: what drivers are you using? Have you tried the nVidia Driver Widget to see what drivers it comes up with for your card? http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

I can't believe it, but it's seeming more and more likely that I have a quadro and not a gtx.. unless of course it's a flashed gtx which just happens to have differently placed power plugs and video outputs.. in that case your guess is as good as mine..
