  • GTX 280 very strange bug

    I have some lod bias problem with games, when i walk near a object the texture change and same when i walk out.

    Here you have a video showing the problem.

    I already formated my system 2 times and installed latest driver from nVidia. I dont knwo what to do more.

    In Far Cry 2 I see that gfx_lodscale 0 in place of 1 help me to see texture well, but the problem is that all textures from the world are render and I get serius lag from 60FPS to 5-10FPS, so I cant use that fix. Im desperate

    Videocard doesnt show artifacts with gcaps,atitool of furmark.

    My specs are:


    Q9450 @ 2,6Ghz
    4GB DDR3 1333 (OCZ REAPER)
    XFX GTX 280 1 GB DDR 3 (Stock clocks) (Driver 178.24 whql)
    Enermax Infinity 720W
    Vista 64 Ultimate

    You could still be having driver issues. Did you just uninstall the old drivers via Add/Remove programs? If so you might want to look into Driver Cleaner. It's important to remove those old driver's properly! Here's a link:

    And is this just in Farcry 2?

      I did driver cleaner and got latest drivers, 178.24, but I think is normal cause new games use that negative lod clamp for more fps.
