Hi,

I have bought a Palit Daytona Geforce 5700 le 256 mb AGP a wile ago from my local retailer.

I have a problem witch occurs when I am playing a game like Psi Ops from ZOO Digital Publishing . After a wile the game freezes and stops responding the sound also hangs Is this due to heat from the GPU? the max reading I get at full load is 31 Celcius according to SpeedFan

To solve the problem I have bought a new cooler for the Palit Daytona [zalman VF700-AlCu] and a new PSU[ Huntkey LW-6400S [400 watt]] and last but not least I installed a new cooler on my CPU

    But the problem still exists.

I installed the latest drivers for all the hardware

I tried different NVIDIA drivers, at the moment I use nvidia_wxp_omega_16693 drivers

I am out of options ;-) any help appriciated

Re: Game Lockups with Palit Daytona Geforce 5700 le 256 mb AGP

balthazor, If your 30c temp reading on your gpu is correct then that isn't your problem, don't spend money on cooling equipment if you're not sure its the prob!! anyway i'm not sure what to tell you, if it was a driver issue than your system prolly would lock up right away. unless there is a specific part in apps were you get the problem. I would say try one of two things. one test ur memory, that could be a problem, also do you have another graphics card you could barrow to see if that works? if it doesn't lock up than it's either a compatibility issue or u have a bad g card. Also, when your sys locks up try to get your task manager up (alt+control+delete)and see if the program is responding. This doesn't sound particularly like a g card problem to me. ALSO... try reinstalling programs and if worse comes to worse comes to worst try backing up your files and reformatting. it could be a virus or corrupt files. I hope i could be of some help. i suggest getting other opinions to if you can...
