far cry and 3d mark 05 baby

Man far cry on my old card 5500 BFG 256 meg was on medium and 800 by 600 and getting 45 FPS. Now on my 9800 Pro wow! 1024 by 768 on very high on all settings. Here's what FRAPS said about it

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
6053, 120000, 26, 92, 50.442


ahhh and here's my old 3d mark 05 score


and my waaay better and improved 9800 pro score

Here's my current system stats

AMD Athlon XP 2700 (normal 2.17 ghz, overclocked to 2.3 ghz)

MSI K7N2 Delta L 400 FSB

1.5 gigs of PC 3200 Kingston ram (3 dimms)

Saffaire 128 meg 9800 Pro (normal 325core/290mem now overclocked to 371core/327mem)

nothing else important. All i can say is for the 133 dollars for this card. What a lot of improvement!

wait a sec...thats not right.....the radeon 9800 pro is clocked at 380\340 (680 DDR)....the radeon 9700 pro is clocked at 325\310 (620 DDR)....it looks like you got a non-pro 9800 (and the 3dmark05 system details in the screenshot say "radeon 9800" from what i can see and not "9800 pro").

That's weird... hmmm maybe that's why it was 133? oh well. still a lot of improvement...

thx i enjoyed watching it now that it's not a slide show anymore. Only on CPu tests does it look like a slide show....

I went from a 9600XT to a 9800 Pro and the diff was quite substantial.....and then from my 9800 pro to my 6800 GT was even more mind blowing! but all that said the 9800 is a bloody great card! game on dude! ;)
