  • Using the Zalman ZM80C-HP

I just got the zalman ZM80C-HP with the optional fan for my aiw 9800 pro and I'm a little concern about the temperatures of the video card.
Does anybody have a bad or a good experience with these vga coolers?

I haven't used the "C" revision with the fan attached to the top, but I have used that type heatpipe cooler several times on various video boards with very good results. Even without the fan, I received lower operating temperatures than with a stock active (with fan) cooler attached. I was impressed.

How can I tests the temp, is there any software to do it or a tool?

An actual thermal probe is always the best answer. You can pick up something as simple as the CompuNurse for very little and get accurate results. Just remember to butt the tip of the probe next to the VPU and not between the sink and the VPU.
