need Help deciding on video card

I am lookig at buying either a ati 9600xt or a gforce along the same lines witch is better. I also want to be able to play direct x 9
games

If you're going for DirectX 9.0 games, then the ATi cards are miles ahead of nVidia. While the FX 5700 is supposedly pretty good on DX9 appications, your best bet is the 9600 XT. It can be overclocked to 9700 speeds and is the best budget card out there at the moment.

I still don't see why people recommend the 9600XT.. You're better off getting a 9700 Pro. They don't cost THAT much more, and the performance is much better...
