I know it has been asked 100's of times i know these cards are "close" but no one ever asks about over clocking, how do these cards do with stock cooling with milid over clocking maby + 25/50. Also if some one could help me pick out what card would be right for me would be nice. I am going to play everquest 2 when its out, bf1942, wc3, d2, doom 3. thanks for the imput!

Well, most of the games that you listed would run perfect with many cheaper cards, so you are going to want the great graphical quality that a higher end card like that offers, and when it comes to AA/AF, the Radeon would smoke the Nvidia. Personally, the main games I play are CS, Desert Combat/BF1942/UT2K3, and will be awaiting D3 and HL2, I really need quality, because I ran these games well enough with my 9100 PCI, but with my 9800 Pro, I get better performance, and the great visuals of all out AA/AF in all of these games.

Yes nvidia drivers are solid...but all drivers have there issues. The new radeon drivers..stated by sponge is some what stable now. So i would go with the 9800xt, not xr...don't know where you got that from. :confused:CPU: Opteron 165 @ 311x9 - 2817.8 mhz - 1.47v
