Just Wondering...what is the stock speed for the 9800 pro's?

  • #2
I have a Gigabyte 9800 Pro, and the stock speeds are 390/330, according to memory. I don't have an overclocking utility at the moment to check as my card doesn't overclock well, so they may be slightly off. It might also differ from the official ATi card.

Actually, now that I mention it, I'm pretty sure mine was 380, not 390. Yours seems fine, it's very common for hardware parts to not be exactly the same speed/size that they are specified to be. For instance, while my processor is a 2.5 GHz Pentium 4, it is technically a 2.48, or something along those lines. It makes nearly no difference to performance at all, though. You'll only see differences in performance when you start going around 30 MHz faster.

Before you ask any questions, you should have done your research. www.ati.com would have helped. The 9800pro clocks are 380/340, or 378/337.
