  • Radeon memory

Hi, i've got an Ati Radeon 9700np as most of u's already know. People keep asking if i've got the good memory when i've asked about over clocking it, so i've had a look, and on the video card ram it says ' SAMSUNG 310'. Is this good or bad memory? What is it like for overclocking?

    Thankyou

i really couldn't tell you what the 310 stands for other than the fact that most numerical designations are the nanosecond reading of the chip, so possibly 3 ns memory..........now i know that samsung is also using 2 ns memory in some of the boards as well.............now, if that's the case, then you've got the slower memory, if you can believe 3ns memory is slow, it's not...........but, that's what i think it is

Is that all it says? Looks like 3.1ns, which should be good to about 330mhz.
