frequency's wont stay

just switched from my pos geforce 2 mx to a new r9200 128mb. what a difference! anyways i just started overclocking it tonight and i found a problem. i used two different applications to oc the card but the same thing happened with both. i make the frequency higher and test it and when i go back to put it up more i see that it is back to default. i have tried rebooting after i change it and messing with some settings but it still goes back. Maybe im missing something because i am new to ATI overclocking apps as i always used geforce ones before. anyone know what i can do? thanks

have you tried RivaTuner? I had the same problem with my Ti4200 and a low level OC with this app fixed it. It will OC both nVidia and ATi cards.

thanks ill give it a try. used it before with my geforce but i preferred coolbits, hope it works now.
