  • Where can I buy a GeForce FX 5900Ultra?

I live in Australia, so any online places I can buy or order from, thanks.

Namz: You'll have to wait until the middle of July (at least) before the FX 5900 Ultra becomes widely available (they're still trying to shift all those FX 5800's).

Well, the inquirer had a report that the Albatron cards (or maybe it was asus:confused:  ) were available in Britain, so u should go to a British online retailer and see if they can mail it to Austrailia.

homeworld1031tx: $826 USD to be exact, there's no way I'd pay that for an FX 5900u.
Someones selling 10 eVGA FX 5900 Ultras for $475 US each, that's the cheapest I've seen anywhere.

Yeah, i would also never pay that much for a graphics card. Arent all the Ultra's going to be in 256 Meg versions? And if they are, wouldnt that be standard price???

Realistically though, say if you already have a ti4200, is it justifiable paying so much more for an FX5900 or a 9800 Pro? Isn't the R300 only slightly slower than the two? I mean in games the frame rates would be good enough isn't it?

The 9700 Pro's only selling for under A$600 now so do you reckon it's a good buy for that instead?

IMHO, get the 9700 Pro. That's what I did. I just got my AIW 9700 Pro for less than a 9800Pro.... And you know what ? I can play all the latest games...fast....full details....and I have a TV tuner too !

Well, since the 9800 PRO is no like $350, you can also just pick up one of those now with out feeling to bad for your wallet :)
