  • Aww, Radeon 9500 PRO or GF4Ti4800 ...

Hay, im stuggering if i would buy an Hercules Radeon 3D Prophet 9500 PRO or an Creative GeForce4Ti4800. I like to use AA and AF so i think it's pretty clear that i'll get the Radeon tho. So what are your thoughts? Another thing i'm worried about is how the Radeon will work with my dear DoD, and i like to play BF1942 too. t would most likely go with a Boxed Athlon XP 2700+, 512mb DDR 266MHz and WinXP Pro. What would be the fps on BF1942 most likely.

It's pretty unplayable on my current system now lol, 10fps

Have you bought the CPU already? I was more concerned about your choice of the 2700+ than your graphics card. Get a Barton chip instead, with the larger cache it will give you more performance options. I would rather have a 2500+ and clock it than a 2700+. With the money you'd save on the CPU you could buy a nice copper HSF and clock it much faster than a stock 2700+. And get some DDR400 RAM, it will be worth the extra cost in performance returns.

              JMHO of course! ;)

go with the radeon, it supports dx9 which most new games are coming with. i got a radeon 9500 pro myself, and its really good with bf1942 and other games.
