First of all, I missed the word formatted. And I think the cmos thing is relevant. Have this customer that keeps unplugging his monitors when the machine is on:1gig duron/k7sem v1/ati radeon 9000 pro agp64mb/512mb pc133/various monitors. And I have discovered similar happenings except only the onboard works until the cmos is reset, never tried the svideo. He has done this 3 times already. And I have made 3 housecalls on the matter.
From what i can see, this can happen with a plug n play monitor. As this wont happen with my monitor since its from 1992 and far from pnp.
    Well did u reset it?

This is an i810 based mobo which was designed as a stand alone all in one "Office PC" job we're talkin' about here. The i815 was for those who wanted to upgrade.
        hint, hint

Have ya ever worked on one of these? :?:

More than a few ppl who's machines have worked on won't part with money for hardware even when needed, and pay for percieved performance that wont happen, and that guy sees the burner problem as an xp problem since it works with other os's. They just keep payin to reconfigure the same old junk(oh, well, sucks to be them). I've also never had a problem with i810 using pci cards. If the guy wants to spend that much for a little gain then its his problem. For the hp guy(customer) in question, for $55 more he could have had a new mobo/cpu combo like a k7sem v3(micro atx fits hp case) w/onboard cpu like xp1400($98) and an agp 9000 pro 64(thats PRO)($125bulk) and ended up with a way better system for cheap instead of a lame upgrade for too much $($169). U see the guy with the drive did the same pci upgrade with no problems

And I didnt realize that the post about the mouse thing was a post saying the problem went away. I thought it was an addition to the problem.
Its good to know u got it fixed now.
I was just wondering if u had a different firmware revision before hauling the machine over here and putting a drive with 98 in it to do the flash that teac of germany sent me(with xp, the update will wreck the drive).

All u gotta do is open nero and in the pulldown menu called recorder, pick choose recorder and it will tell u the firmware revision among other things. I really need to know. This guy lives far away.

Actually it can and does very well, you just need the VCD plugin, use google. I also have plugns for SVCD and MPEG2.

                            Nero Rules.
