    Re: Xeon x5460 overclocking settings

First of all , a very BIG THANK YOU for teaching me overclocking.

Yes my dear I am shutting it down
No problem in startup it starts normally...
When I shut it down monitor goes black and only hdd led went off while power led in on.. And all the exhaust fans that are connected to Motherboard including gpu fan all keeps running...
I open the case and checked all the connections... Everything okay in my knowledge... Clear cmos ... Updating original bios file... Microcode patched bios file...
    Tried on defaults settings too..
Lowering ghz now am running at 3.5ghz fsb 370
The only problem is I have to shut it down manually that's all...
And in bios when I power off ... It shuts down, I have to hold the power button for 5secs

    Rest everything is alright.

    Tried all...
    Please suggest something
    Sorry for bothering you.

      I really don't know.
There is something wrong but I don't know what.
Normally you only need to press it for a second to shut down when in BIOS I think, can't remember since I have not used my UD3LR brad for many months now since it died so I may be wrong.
Do not flash BIOS too many times, it is risky and may brick he MB.

Maybe it is something in windows.
        Try to run diagnostic startup.

Click windows start button, type msconfig, enter, select Diagnostic Startup, OK and reboot.
        See if you can shutdown.
To revert to normal boot, run msconfig again, and select normal startup.
