Hi
First of all this is a nice informative forum, and it have helped me out a lot with overclocking. well first a little info of my system and my settings
CPU = Model 920 bloomfield 2.6GHz
Motherboard = GA-EX58-Extreme
BIOS Version = F13q
Ram = Corsair TR3X6G1600C8D, 3x2048MB DDR3
Graphic = Radeon HD4870x2 2GB
PSU = 850w none modular
Cooling = Water (cores do not exceed 68c, when runnning burnin test).
As it can be seen from the settings above i only need to increase my CPU multiplier from x19 to x20 to achieve 4GHz.
It should be noted that the system is stable with these settings.
However when i increase the multiplier, my windows 7 x64 pro crashes when it boots. Sometimes i get this stop code
0X00000124 << Incorrect QPI/Vtt Voltage (To Much/Not Enough)
But since, as I've read, my QPI/Vtt Voltage is already at max. I've only tried to decrease it slightly (My memory's SPD, says that the QPI should be on 1.35V).
Ive also tried slowly to increase my Vcore from 1.3000v + 0.050v to 1.3000v + 0.1000v where after i stopped since everywhere i look people mention that the Vcore should be between 1.3v - 1.375v.
So now I'm a bit lost, is this just fate and im stuck at this speed. or is there an alternative i haven't tried yet.
Regards Optimist
