    i have a amd 3000+ 754 it was stock at 2.00 it over clocked to 2.4 is that to much for every day use

        so i can over clock it to 3.0ghz and as long as it does not get above 70c it fine

          You could try to OC it that much, but I would be shocked to see it go that high. The safest way to d oit is to keep your temps under 50C and no more than 60C @ full load. You need to go up in small increments and just keep testing stability with OCCT, PRIME, and run some 3D benchmarks as well. Once you start get instabilities, back it down a few and call that your max.

            ok it at 2.4 and 108 at idle and 127 at max cpu for 5 min

              Even if those are degs-F I hope your temp measurement is faulty....

              What are you using to measure the temps?

              At about 70-80 degs C, the computer will turn itself off, unless you don't have overtemp protection.

                Are you using the stock cooler? You really should not be overclocking on the stock cooler and those temps are high. My CPU is stock @ 2.2GHz and I run it @ 2.8GHz 24/7. My idle temps are around 26C and I max out aroun d 45C full load of Prime for 12 hours. Your temps need to be much lower. How much vcore are you feeding it?
