  • Overclocking a 7800GT with ATITool, ... cool huh?

I just fired up an updated ATITool (0.25 from 0.24), for some artifact scanning with the intention of using coolbits 2.0 to do the OCing part.

The Find Max Core/Mem buttons weren't greyed out, I already knew my max core so I clicked the "find max mem" button.

It got it up to 616mhz (1232mhz ddr) before the screen turned black.

"Cool," I thought. ATITool is starting to work with nVidia cards for more than JUST artifact scanning...

...or does everyone already know this?

I only know of this due to the arrival of a 7800GTX to replace my X850. I forgot to uninstall ATITOOL and startede it up unthinkingly one day. Pretty cool that it works! Alot easier than coolbits too. One more thing to thank ATI for!

Hey thats pretty cool. I have always used RivaTuner, Coolbits is not my cup of tea. Might d/load ATITool just to see if it works with AGP cards.

There's nothing wrong with Coolbits other than the fact that it doesn't work right. :)

I prefer ATI Tool to both Coolbits and RivaTuner, so I'd certainly use it if I had a 7800. I somehow doubt it'll work on my 6800GT or GO 6800.

It says what I've been too nice to say for quite some time.

That's hella coo! I also have liked ATItool more than coolbits, the built in artifact window is VERY useful. Even sweeter that you got a GT faster than the GTX speed.

What was your max core BTW?
