  • Need some help with P4 Prescott O/C

    hey,

    trying to get max o/c from my system, here's the specs;

    intel p4-e prescott 3.0Ghz cpu
    asus p4800-e deluxe (i865PE)
    2x512 corsair value select ram 2.5 cas

    current overclock = 218xMultiplier = 3.27Ghz
    idle temp 40C
    ram to fsb divider = 1/1

    heat doesnt seem to be an issue after a couple hours of testing 3.27 and above with above settings. perhaps the ram divider could be changed to get better o/c ? but would this mean sacrificing the ram speed ? (down from 400mhz?)

    im not sure how this ram divider thing works, i assumed leaving it 1/1 was best. what do u guys use and why ?

    can i get a better o/c by messing with the ram to fsb divider ?
    what other setting could i try for better o/c ?

    Set ram divider to 5/4, and set fsb to 250. That should work.
