  • CPU OC Causes Artifacts?

Ok, this is my problem. My current overclock is running @ 3.11Ghz. If i set any speed higher than that, it causes artifacts in my games. Thats weird, i'm OC'ing my CPU, not my vid card. Why? My vid card is at stock speeds, not OC'ed. Maybe i need to up my Vcore? But i dont have that option. help!

    Specs:
    p4 2.80Ghz 533
    Jetway model p4x400-8235 Mobo
    512MB pc2700 Ram
    Radeon 9800NP

Oh yeah, my options in Bios are:
    vccq
    +2.5
    vdimm

What is +2.5?? And what is vccq? The vcore?

    I dont get it.

The artifacts are a likely cause of the AGP bus being overclocked (I don't believe that the p4x400 chipset ever had an AGP/PCI bus lock) due to you raising the FSB which automatically raises the AGP and PCI bus frequencies (at 3.11GHz those buses are doing 74MHz and 37MHz instead of their standard 66/33).
