  • core and memory clock

i hav a geforce fx 5200. i hav been experimenting with overclocking and i would like to know which would increase performance - a higher core clock,or a higher memory clock.

Both, but generally ive heard that higher memory is better than higher core... could be wrong tho!

I experimented with my FX5200 as well, i found ocing both the core speed in joint with the memory speed works the best. (I'm too young to drink beer :O)

Well, if you were to o/c once or the other, memory would give you a better score. Doing both, however, probably gives you the best performance because they both are up from stock and one doesnt "limit" the other. However, many people now ahve their core much more o/c'd than their memory because it is much easier to cool the core (stick on a rack mount CPU cooler). : peace2: Mista K6
