Asus A7n8x-x + Amd2800

I decided to give it a try and OC my precious computer...just a small question...how :laugh:

I already had some advise from a friend to up the FSB, but even at 1% higher the PC won't post

specs of the PC:
ASUS A7N8X-X mobo
AMD 2800 2.09GHz 333MHz 512Kb
2x 512MB Kingston PC3200 400
Levicom silent PSU 450Watt dual blue led fans
Revoltec 4blue led case fan (80mm)
Coolermaster Aero light super silent cpu cooler

think that should be everything needed

p.s. any idea what the max cpu speed will be aprox?

Now I'm no expert, but what made me hit my ceiling is that the PCI BUS gets out of spec, considering you're running 333 mhz, just notching it up once will make your pci too fast to run. Im sure your motherboard has a setting to keep your pci slots running at they're usual 33 mhz (my mobo doesnt, as its geriatric). Like I said, Im not sure, but its something to check til someone wiser than I replies.

also try increasing your CPU voltage small increments, try 0.25volts, not past 1.85v.

CPU works on 1.8v atm and quite stable
also OCd the videocard :)

ok what made U hit the sieling is somthing I don't knnow but I do know U should be able to OC the CPU up to about 25 to 30 %

from 2.09GHz to 2.28GHz by upping the FSB from 166 to 182
any higher and OS won't load :(
I hoped I was able to get more out of it, but I'll guess I'll have to wait till I can get a 3200+ 400MHz

also upped freqs of radeon 9800
benchmark went from 15505 to 16527 ^^

if any1 has any other options, plz lemme know
