  • Installing driver

I would like some help to install a driver for a Canon iP1600 printer I bought. I was able to download the driver, but when trying to install it gives me the message "Print spooler not started".

The tech. help line from Cannon could not help me, said it was a Windows setting. I treid in Control Panel under Printers and Faxes to see if there was anywhere I can change the setting but no luck. Even clicking on properties I get this message.

    Can anyone please help????
    Regards
    Melisa
P.S. I run Windows XP Home , and it is on a laptop.

    Re: Installing driver

Go to "start" then "run" and type in "services.msc". If print spooler is not set to "automatic" then fix it.
