Instability

Hey there, i finally finished my computer but i'm having sum instability problems with my video card. After a shutdown and restart of my coomputer it says that my video card's driver was causing the instability issues. I cant roll back the driver since i just installed XP. I had updated the driver before but then my computer would not start up past the XP loading screen. Should i take the risk of updating the driver and possibly causing less stability, or what should I do? Please help me, i really want to use my computer at its full potential. Thanks

completely remove the current driver (including registry links) then install some new drivers (not windows update drivers...get the ones form nVidia or ATi depending on your card)
