Hi temps w.o side panel!!

I got this 750Mhz SlotA cpu running at about 39-40C when crunching on SETI. I decided to take off the side panel, only to see the temps RISE! They rose to above 44C. Whats up with that? I always see Wiggo telling people to see if the temps drop when the side is thaken off, but i never heard of them rising.


I got 2 80mm fans, one in front and second on rear.
I have extra 92mm fan laying around, but where would i put it to cool the system more?
Or is the airflow better with the sidepanel on and i shouldnt worry about it.

Any ideas?

P.S.
The other temps readings stay the same, its just the CPU that rises.

That means you have a good airflow in your case:thumb:
Put the side back on and crunch away.

Airflow is good, so if you want to improve temperatures any more then you'll have to get better cooling for the processor. But I don't recall those temperatures being too high; especially since you're running the processor at basically 100% while crunching SETI data. :)

I guess since everything is good, i'm not gonna mess w. it untill i upgrade. (which will be hopefully soon)
