  • OCZ Goliath & XP2700

I am running a goliath HSF with a 40cfm fan on it, My new CPU should be here sometime tomorrow. Any body have an idea whether or not this HSF will cool a 2700+? OCZ says that it is good up to 3100 but I don't know. right now running SETI and playing UT2K3 at the same time i am getting CPU temp in the range of 45c.

Well I may have a good memory but it sure is short. I went to www.dansdata.com and checked out the specs on the cooler. the OCZ Goliath with the high power 60 mm fan got .51c/w as opposed tothe thermaltake 7+ at .52 c/w. So I am guessing that if the 7+ can handle a 2700+ I should be able to take it with mine here!

Well the 2700 is installed and the temps are lower than with my 1.3 running at 15++ !!!! i will have to see about the overclocking ability of this HSF with a faster chip under it!
