chipset fan

My northbridge fan on my Asus A7V266-EX was making quite some noise, so I cleaned it very carefully, but it's still producing noise.

I am sick of hearing it everytime I start my pc (yes the noise last for about 1min...)

Anyone got good suggestions for northbridge chipset fan?

I am not sure it requires 1, but I'd feel safer with one (wouldn't want to end up with a dead motherboard eventho I don't like it real much)

Well on that ASUS, you might be able to use a passive cooling solution, such as just a heatsink.

However, if you want a full solution, give Vantec's Iceberg Copper cooler + heatsink a try. It's an all-in-1 solution that performs very well.

A lot of ppl use to replace these with Blue Orbs though Thermaltake now have Orange Orbs and their high performance Cyrstal Orbs. ;)
