Oh yeah baby.. just installed my new Swiftech MCX462+ Heatsink. I say heatsink because it does not come with a fan. I appreciate this because they don't give you a crappy no-namer or Delta Screamer.
The heatsink itsself can be adjusted to use either 70mm or 80mm fans. I'm using an 80mm Thermaltake Smart Case Fan II with it.
Bottom line: Before, I was using a Thermaltake Volcano 9 that idled at 44.5C in a room 25C ambient. I had an immediate drop of 4C at idle, bringing it to a nice cool 40C.
After 20 minutes of Q3A Demoloop (+timedemo 1) it was only 43.2C!
The heatsink is expensive, retailing for US$47.95, but if you're in the market for the best... Get it.
