  • Watercooling advice needed.

    Hi everyone.

I have a 2x6990's and a xeon x5670. I want to put under watercooling. I'm trying to figure out what i need to make this all possible.

    I currently have:
    apogeeXT cpu block
    mcp655b pump
    mcr220 Rad

Now I'm thinking of getting 2x SwiftechEpsilon gpu blocks and a Koolance 4x120mm Copper Hort and maybe replacing my Mcr220 with a MCR320-XP. So i'm planning on running the 4x120mm + 320mm rads.

Would that be enough "rad" for 2x6990s + cpu? I've calculated the heatload at roughly 1000watts when the system would be overclocked.

The other concern is my pump. Would my mcp 655b pump be able to handle all of this?

    Re: Watercooling advice needed.

honestly i think the pump is strong enough, they're known for extreme reliability and performance
as for the rads, since you're running 2 6990's (holy cow) (i would use about a quad rad for a cpu and 6990 loop) so i would recommend going with at least a total of 6x120mm (at the very least)

    Good luck!
