  • 4 X socket 775 cpu super air coolers but which one rules your socket

    Hi everybody,

    I've been google-ing and i found out that there are 7 kings of cooling in the lga 775 segment.

    * Sunbeam Tuniq Tower
    * Thermalright 120 ultra extreme
    * Scythe Mugen 2
    * Thermalright IFX-14

    additionally i found a couple more ( expensive ones )

    * Prolimatech Megahalems
    * Cooler Master V8
    * Thermalright TRUE Copper

    If you are absolutely sure i missed one, feel free to say so and ill add it

    The only thing is nobody agrees on what is supposed to be the king of kings.

    I'd like to find out which one will rule my socket
    I have the following setup:

    Mainboard: Gigabyte ga-p35-ds3 (rev2.0) F12
    CPU: Q6600 (G0) @ stock (will OC after i have the proper cooling installed)
    RAM Twin2X2048-6400C4 DDR2
    GPU: Asus EN8800GT 512
    BOX: Antec nine hundred slightly modded for optimal cpu cooling
    Be Quiet 450 Watt
    HDD: WD caviar 140 GB / Green 1.5 TB
    External WD elements 500GB

    Also i'd like to know if anybody has experience with:

    Lapping / added value ??
    Combined with 1 or 2 fans standard or S-Flex

    ( ive heard that the Scythe S-FLEX SFF21 f/g are the best to "mod" )

    On the side:
    Im especially interested in knowing if anybody has experience with the ga-p35-ds3 / q6600 overclocking wise

    Hope to talk to you soon!

    Sydney
